Short History of FCSD

History
The Filipino Community of San Donato (FCSD) was born in the year 1999 with a simple Mass celebrated by Fr. Emil Santos. It is a praying community that is gathered around the table of the Lord. Mr. James Kasunuran was the first President of FCSD. Four years later, in 2003, FCSD was registered at the Comune of San Donato.
Mr. Gani Casunuran was the next FCSD president from 2008 to 2013. The Filipino community in San Giuliano eventually merged with the FCSD. Thus, its official name is now Filipino Community of San Donato/San Giuliano of FCSD/SG.
Ms. Myr Aceveda is currently the president of FCSD/SG. Monthly, the community celebrates 3 Tagalog Masses – First Fridays, 1st Sundays, and 3rd Sundays of the month. The community actively participates in some Italian religious activities and a number of socio-civic activities of the immigrants.
As of 2025, the community is led by Ms. Thelma Libuit and is gathered to celebrate Tagalog Masses at 9:00 am at the Parrocchia Santa Maria Ausiliatrice in Via M. Greppi, 5 every second and fourth Sundays of the month.
